This year’s global hands washing day in Anambra state was a week-long activity which culminated with the crowning of the Anambra state first lady, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano as the Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Ambassador.
The award which was bestowed on her by EU and UNICEF was in recognition of her numerous efforts geared towards helping and providing for Orphans, Physically Challenged and the Less Privileged through her pet project, Caring Family Enhancement (CAFE)
Accompanying her to the ceremony was the late widow of Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and former Ambassador to Spain, Bianca Ojukwu, who was 2014, Africa’s best and most outstanding Ambassador in Europe award winner for her implementation of Citizen’s Diplomacy and her impart to the lives of Nigerians during her tenure in Spain.
